HeartCode BLS is the online portion of the BLS course when taken in a blended-learning format. It uses a variety of eLearning assets -- such as dramatizations, eSimulations, animations, self-directed learning, and interactive activities -- to teach students BLS knowledge and skills. After completing the online portion students attend a structured Instructor-led classroom session that focuses on meaningful skills practice, debriefing, team scenarios, discussions of local protocols, and skills testing.

The onsite skill verification is part TWO of a two part series. You MUST complete the online course through an assigned link prior to the classroom session.

If you need the online course sent to you please email kim.hopkins1@imail.org and request access to the BLS Heartcode course. It will be sent to the email you registered with. 

If you have purchased it on your own do not add it. 

If you are in RQI you do not have to do this.

Please note you will need to present a PRINTED copy of your course completion certificate to your instructor at your skills check. This is an AHA requirement. The instructors have been asked to not proceed with the skills check if the certificate is not presented. 

Note per the AHA and St. Vincent's policy the training center has 20 days to issue course completion cards. Please let us know if you do not get your card within 20 days of your course.
